Being ardent supporters of the grassroots areas which we operate across, we are proud to launch our seasonal 2019 community initiative. This is with the aim of putting a smile on the faces of children who have to spend the Christmas period in hospital.

As a predominantly local agency with offices in Wigan, Wakefield, Manchester and Liverpool, we would be grateful if our clients, both past and present, would kindly contribute to our Toy Appeal. This also includes welcome donations of books, magazines, clothing, shoes and chocolates.

The majority of us are involved, in varying capacity, in the manufacture, import/export, packing, repacking and selling of our desired appeal items across the UK, Europe and worldwide. Many of us are also fortunate enough to be looking forward to a festive season spent with the family at home. 

Sadly, some children across our communities do not face the prospect of a merry Christmas, instead having to pass the time in hospital. We would like to make sure, with your assistance where possible, that these children still get presents on Christmas Day and enjoy all of the festivities that this season brings to our own households.

That said, all we would like you to do is buy and donate a gift and we will collect and deliver it to your hospital charity of choice. Please note that for infection control purposes, we cannot accept any preloved items. We request that the items you wish to donate are in their original packaging. Where applicable, we also ask that the items display the CE safety mark and still have the tags on.

If you intend to donate chocolate or confectionary, all packaging or wrapping must be fully intact and the ingredients clearly visible as we have to be careful with allergies and dietary requirements. We cannot accept any food items which are homemade, as much as we’d like to.

There’s no need to wrap the gifts as the hospital charity team will do this, once they have matched the gifts to an appropriate patient.

Your present can be as big, small or lavish as your budget permits. All donations are both welcome and greatly appreciated as they are guaranteed to make someone happy on Christmas Day.

CareerMakers will be visiting your site over the next three weeks to collect a gift to be donated on your behalf to one of the hospitals below, all of which are either dedicated to the health of children or accommodate a large children’s ward.
